Broadcast systems degrade quietly. Fans clog, power supplies age, firmware falls behind, and patching gets changed during a busy production and never put back. None of it shows until something fails during a programme. Intraframe's maintenance service puts a schedule of preventative work around a facility's systems, so that problems are found during an inspection rather than on air.

The service suits broadcasters, production companies and corporate studios whose in-house teams run day-to-day operations but lack the time or specialist tooling for planned engineering work. Visits are arranged around the production calendar, and anything that touches live signal paths is done in agreed maintenance windows. Where Intraframe built the facility, maintenance draws on the original schematics, rack elevations and cable schedules.

Maintenance also covers the infrastructure behind the technical areas. Comms rooms and equipment racks can be audited, re-documented and tidied: patch panels re-terminated, structured cable management installed, and equipment repositioned for better airflow. Findings from each visit are written up, so that ageing equipment can be budgeted for and replaced on your timetable rather than after it fails.

How we deliver it

Our process

  1. Baseline audit

The first visit records what is installed, its condition and firmware versions, and how closely the documentation matches the system.

  2. Agreed schedule

An inspection schedule is set around your production calendar, with work on live paths planned into maintenance windows.

  3. Preventative visits

Engineers inspect and clean equipment, check fans and filters, verify firmware and security patch levels, and carry out thermal imaging and power supply checks.

  4. Reporting

After each visit you receive a written report of findings, actions taken and recommended work, in priority order.

  5. Remedial work and spares

Faults are fixed on the spot or scheduled, and a spares holding is agreed for items whose failure would stop production.

Questions

System Maintenance: FAQ

Do you maintain systems that Intraframe did not install?
Yes. The first visit is a baseline audit that records what is installed and how well it is documented. Where drawings or cable schedules are missing or out of date, they can be brought up to date as part of the work.
How often are maintenance visits?
Frequency and scope are agreed with each client, based on the age of the systems, how heavily they are used and the production calendar. Inspections are arranged so that work on live signal paths happens in maintenance windows rather than during programmes.
Can you sort out a messy comms room?
Yes. Engineers audit the existing infrastructure, produce full cable schedules, re-terminate patch panels, rearrange equipment for thermal airflow and install structured cable management. The work is scheduled in planned maintenance windows to avoid disrupting operations.
